Classic Rock 94.5 in Ft Myers Florida seeks energetic P/T Promotions Team Members

This station rocks! Help us spread the word to the others in Southwest Florida. As a Promotions Team Member you will help spread the word about the station. We are looking for outgoing, hard working and creative individuals to join our street team. Responsibilities include working on location at radio station events, interacting with listeners and some light clerical duties. Ideal candidate is energetic, efficient and capable of multi-tasking in a lively fast paced environment. We’re offering you the chance to work behind the walls of Classic Rock 94.5 and to learn the intricacies of a real operating radio station. This position is on a part-time/on-call basis and most often requires weekend and evening hours, both on the street and in the radio station.

Requirements
All employees are expected to bring a positive attitude, be cheerful, cooperative and productive and to perform other such duties as may be required for the efficient operations of the stations.
• Must be a professional and a proven team player with customer focus
• Must be able to work evenings/weekends
• Good driving record required
• Must be able to lift 50lbs

Essential Functions:
1. Perform as an enthusiastic representative of the station and exude enthusiasm for the station. 2. Set up and breakdown of station and client event equipment (i.e. van, tables, booths, banners, PA system, premiums, client materials, etc.) 3. Be willing and able to learn to operate promotional equipment (sound system, booth set-up, banner maintenance and cleaning, vehicle care, etc.) 4. Drive Station vehicles (requires a valid FL state driver’s license and a good driving record). 5. Communicate with station on air talent, sales executives, clients and listeners in an intelligent and enthusiastic manner 6. Demonstrate the ability to make decisions about events/promotions needs to include but not be limited to safety of you, the listener and client, needs of each particular promotion, the individual needs of each client. 7. Adhere to the station event checklist, fill out a recap for every event and make contributions to the success of each event. 8. Makes sure client needs are specified and met. 9. Be a pre-problem solver, think ahead 10. Make it happen! Don’t wait till something falls apart, but manage each situation to have minimal downtime and optimal results on any promotion or event. 11. Labor - the carrying, loading and set-up of promotional materials and equipment are a large part of the job. 12. Present a pleasant, friendly attitude with all employees and the public to promote optimum goodwill for the station and project a professional business-like image. 13. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. 14. Able to work a variety of shifts; sometimes nights and weekends.
